After using the cradle for a year, I decided I wanted to add a cooling fan (I increasingly fly a different aircraft where the ipad is directly exposed to the sun). If you've looked for a cooling solution, there aren't good solutions readily available, so I scouted around for something I could modify. I opted to give https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B099DN4HW3 a try and succeeded after disassembling it to take off the alloy frame, it fits perfectly inside the longer clamps with my ipad air (4th gen).

Super light weight and strong. I went this route because I use both an iPad mini and a iPad Pro 9.7. I've been experimenting with both on the yoke. This mount holds them both perfectly.

I absolutely love this mount with the yoke attachment. It puts all RAM mounts to shame.

This Sport Universal Cradle is extremely well engineered and made. The large knobs make adjustment a cinch. Robust, and secure. Mated to the articulated arm makes for a brilliant combination. The ability to secure I pad type devices with cases has never been better. Excellent product.

Like all products from MyGoFlight the Sport Universal Cradle is exceptionally well made. For those pilots who may have more than one iPad or tablet the universal cradle is a must. It is also less bulky in the cockpit. I am very satisfied with mine.
